Workshop Details
Join us for a 3 hour workshop you will to make a unique junk journal from new and recycled items.
This could be things like greetings cards, fabric scraps, old tickets, ribbons, packaging, envelopes, paper…any mixed media that can be cut and repurposed. Your junk journal will be perfect to use to collect keepsakes and the design will be full of pockets, pull outs and flaps for tucking little messages and mementos.
A junk journal is very personal and can be used like any other journal but is much more tactile visual and so much fun to make.

There will be a maximum of 4 people in this workshop.
This workshop will be run by Angela who is a prolific crafter, enjoying and teaching people for more than 20 years.
Who is this workshop suitable for?
Everyone is welcome to join this workshop. You will be taught the techniques required to design and make your own personalised junk/art journal.
The workshop will start by making the journal cover ( we will provide the blank notebook)
Angela will then demonstrate how to create your signatures (pages) and show you on how to bind these into your cover. and then help you with the process to get it secure ready for all your journalling creativity!
You will then send some time decorating the journal with embellishments, pockets and fold out sections.
This workshop is suitable for adults and children over 16 years only.
What should I bring to the workshop?
Just yourself, and your imagination. There will be lots of mixed media available for you to choose from to make your journal but please do bring additional items you may wish to incorporate.
